Is there parking onsite?
Yes, there is free customer parking on the estate. It is located on the right hand side as soon as you arrive
Can I stay the night not part of an event?
Unfortunately, we do not run like a standard hotel, we are only able to host guest staying with us that are part of a wedding, corporate or social event. Occasionally we can make exceptions for larger groups bookings of 10+ bedrooms.
Is there breakfast if I stay overnight?
Yes, breakfast is available unless your rate specifically excludes it. Those staying as part of a wedding will include breakfast.
What is your maximum capacity?
150 in the library for dining on straight tables or 124 on round tables with straight or round top table and an additional 30 can be sat in the adjoining orangery. We can have up to 250 evening guests
Is there the option to not have the bedrooms included in the package?
All our wedding packages include our stunning bedrooms.
With the bedrooms, can guests pay you directly for these?
If you would like to charge guests for the bedrooms included in your package then they would pay you directly. Any additional rooms we have not in your package can be booked through us.
Do you have your own catering team?
Yes, we do. Our head chef is extremely talented and dedicated with years of experience in the industry.
Do we have to choose off of your menus?
No, not at all. We have seasonal menus to guide you along the way though you don’t have to pick from these at all. We will have a meeting 6 months before the big day to confirm the details of your bespoke meal.
Are there any restrictions on decorations?
We don’t allow tea light candles with an exposed flame. As we are a listed building we are also not able to put up any decorations that would involve putting blue tack up or using nails/pins.
Can we have a bar tab?
Certainly, you are welcome to have a pre-paid bar tab. Just let us know any restrictions you would like to place on this, e.g. wine, beer and cider only. For further details please discuss with us.
How can guests pay for drinks behind the bar?
Card or cash, no minimum charge. Guests can also charge drinks to their rooms if they wish..
Can we offer corkage?
Not typically, as we have a fully stocked bar and can source most things. This can be discussed with your wedding coordinator.
Do you allow dogs?
This needs to be discussed on an individual basis.
Do you have any family rooms?
All of our bedrooms are set up as doubles as standard, however, a variety of them can be set up as twins and/or accommodate additional pull out beds or cots. We have 3 cots in total and 9 pull out beds.
Can we stay the night before the wedding?
We do offer a weekend package that includes the use of the accommodation on the Friday and Saturday night.
Which one is your bridal suite?
We have four suites in total and we let you choose your favourite as they are all uniquely decorated.
Do we have to set up all the decorations ourselves?
No. We arrange a drop off meeting for you a day or two prior to your wedding depending on events and you can bring anything with you that you wish to be set up on the day and we set this all up for you. If you have a very specific way you would like this to be set up that we recommend that you set it up as you would like it at home and then take a photo that you can then give to us to copy.
What time do we have venue access from and when can guests check-in to bedrooms?
Your venue access is from 11 am which includes the bridal suite and the downstairs event space. The normal check-in time for the remaining bedrooms is 3 pm. We can sometimes make check in earlier if there is no event the day prior.
What time is check out?
Check out is 10.30am
What time does the bar and music close?
Midnight. If you wish to extend the license this would be an additional cost per hour for the bar and music license. Please let us know if you would like to extend the license at least 2 months in advance of your wedding.
Can you have fireworks?
Certainly. We just ask that is are booked through our recommended supplier due to health and safety reasons.
Can we have external caterers?
We do not allow external catering but our talented team is very skilled at preparing a wide variety of foods.
Can we have a tasting?
Tastings are not included as standard but can be added at a small additional cost which we would confirm after your catering meeting.
Do we have to use your recommended suppliers?
We have a list that can be sent to you of our recommended suppliers. Though you are welcome to choose other suppliers except for fireworks and catering.
Are there any restrictions on suppliers?
Suppliers must have public liability insurance and any electrical equipment they use is safety tested. We also ask that you check with us if they are food or drink related.
We have a lot of dietary requirements- is this okay?
Yes, chefs is very used to catering for a variety of dietaries
Can we get married outside?
Certainly, our outside gazebo is fully licensed. The registrars will have the final say based on the weather and we would always offer a backup plan. We can be very flexible on indoor or outdoor ceremony up to the morning of the wedding.
